"It Didn't Work For Me..."
It's been a while since I last posted. It's been a busy summer helping clients make a positive change in their lives. I love nothing more than seeing the change or hearing from clients who have had a successful session. However, occasionally, I will hear from someone who feels "it didn't work". There's nothing more disappointing; Not just for the client of course, but for me. I don't feel like I've failed, rather than a feeling of discontent. Now, I will say this is a rare oc

"Can you make me stop eating chocolate?" is a question often asked with Hypnotherapy. Find out the answer.

How Do YOU Think About Food?
This week is Eating Disorders Awareness Week (Mon 26th Feb-Sun 4th March 2018). According to the official Beat Eating Disorders website, on average, someone experiencing an eating disorder will wait almost THREE years before seeking help. So they are asking the question, "Why Wait?" as their campaign this year. That's a great question, but one that can't be answered easily. It could be a person's self-esteem, it may be they feel ashamed, it may even be that they don't think t
Make a Positive Change
As a Hypnotherapist, I love nothing more than to see a positive change in my clients. After all, that is my job! When I first see a client, there's always a slight apprehension as to what is going to happen, especially if it's their first time seeing a Hypnotherapist. This, of course, is natural. Within my first few minutes, I let the client explain what it is they want to achieve; What do they WANT after seeing me? Now, that may sound like an odd question as I should already
What Can Hypnotherapy Do For ME?
Whenever I tell someone I'm a Hypnotherapist, one of the first things asked (apart from the comedic "don't look into my eyes" gag) is what kind of things hypnosis can help with. The clients I mostly see want to give up smoking, lose weight or remove a phobia; But it can be opened up to SO many different things. Our unconscious mind (sometimes referred to as subconscious) is the most powerful resou

New Year, New Me...?
As soon as the clocks chimes midnight on December 31st, we enter a new year with the belief that we can make a change there and then. Known as a 'New Year's Resolution', we promise ourselves that we will quit smoking, take part in Dry January, lose weight or join the gym among other goals. Let's be honest; How many of those promises have you broken by around 12:30am on January 1st? I know I have! We excuse ourselves because it's 'still the same night' or promise yourself you'

Welcome To My Blog!
Well, this is all a little new to me. I can't say I've been one to write down my thoughts or opinions on topics which may be of interest to others. I think the real reason is, I don't think others would be interested in what I have to say - So let's put it to the test! I'll start with an introduction: "Hi, my name is Tim and I'm a Hypnotherapist". Phew! That was easier than I thought. On my blog, I will be discussing my thoughts on Hypnosis, Hypnotherapy, NLP, techniques, exp
